Product Safety, Sizing and Use Disclaimer

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Vancetic, operated by Vancetic Inc, sells dog accessories including collars, harnesses, leashes, basket muzzles, and related physical products.

This Product Safety, Sizing and Use Disclaimer provides important information about selecting, fitting, inspecting, and using products purchased through Vancetic.

1. General Information

Product descriptions, measurements, photographs, materials, and care information are provided to help customers review and select products.

Product information is general information and is not veterinary, medical, behavioral, or professional animal-training advice.

Customers should consult a veterinarian, qualified trainer, or other appropriate professional when advice is needed concerning an animal's health, behavior, physical condition, or individual requirements.

2. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for the animal, activity, environment, and intended use.

Before purchasing or using a product, the customer should consider:

  • The animal's current measurements;
  • The animal's age and physical condition;
  • The intended activity;
  • The product's listed materials and construction;
  • The selected size and variant;
  • The animal's behavior and strength; and
  • Any product-specific warnings or care instructions.

3. Measuring Before Ordering

Dog breed, age, or weight alone might not determine the correct product size.

Customers should measure the relevant area of the dog and compare those measurements with the information displayed on the applicable product page.

Depending on the product, measurements may include:

  • Neck circumference;
  • Chest or girth circumference;
  • Back or body length;
  • Muzzle circumference;
  • Muzzle length; or
  • Other measurements specified on the product page.

Measurements should be taken according to the product-specific guidance when available.

If an animal falls between sizes, customers should review the adjustment range, product construction, and intended fit before choosing a size.

4. Product Variations

Minor differences may occur in color, stitching, texture, hardware, packaging, dimensions, or appearance because of manufacturing processes, device displays, or supplier updates.

Measurements may include reasonable manufacturing tolerances unless an exact tolerance is expressly stated.

Product images may include animals, props, or accessories for illustration. Only the selected product and variant listed in the order are included unless expressly stated otherwise.

5. Initial Inspection

Before first use, inspect the product carefully.

Check all applicable components, including:

  • Straps;
  • Stitching;
  • Buckles;
  • Clasps;
  • Rings;
  • Adjustment points;
  • Fasteners;
  • Connectors; and
  • Material surfaces.

Do not use a product that appears damaged, incomplete, incorrectly assembled, or unsuitable for the animal.

Contact Vancetic promptly if a new product arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the item ordered.

6. Correct Fit

A product should be adjusted according to the product's design and the animal's measurements.

A product that is too loose may shift, detach, or allow the animal to escape. A product that is too tight may cause discomfort, restricted movement, skin irritation, or injury.

During initial use, check for:

  • Restricted breathing;
  • Restricted movement;
  • Rubbing or pressure points;
  • Skin irritation;
  • Loose or shifting straps;
  • Unexpected detachment; or
  • Signs of discomfort or distress.

Stop using the product if it causes injury, irritation, breathing difficulty, unusual behavior, or distress.

7. Collars

A collar should be adjusted to fit securely without causing unnecessary pressure or restricting normal breathing.

Inspect collar material, stitching, buckles, adjustment points, and attachment rings regularly.

A collar may not be suitable as the primary restraint for every dog, activity, or medical condition.

Consult a veterinarian or qualified professional when there are concerns about neck, breathing, spinal, skin, or behavioral conditions.

8. Harnesses

A harness should be fitted according to the product design and adjusted so that it does not excessively restrict the animal's shoulders, chest, breathing, or movement.

Check all straps and attachment points before each use, particularly after washing, adjustment, or extended use.

Some dogs may be able to reverse, twist, or pull out of an incorrectly fitted harness. Supervision and correct adjustment remain the customer's responsibility.

9. Leashes

Select a leash based on the animal's size, strength, behavior, and intended activity.

Inspect the leash, clasp, stitching, handle, and connecting hardware before use.

Do not continue using a leash that is frayed, cut, chewed, cracked, bent, weakened, or otherwise damaged.

Do not wrap a leash tightly around a hand, wrist, finger, animal, or body part.

Customers should maintain appropriate control of the animal and comply with applicable local leash requirements.

10. Basket Muzzles

A basket muzzle should be selected and adjusted using the measurements and fitting information provided for the applicable product.

A muzzle must not obstruct normal breathing. Stop using the product immediately if the animal shows breathing difficulty, overheating, injury, panic, or substantial distress.

Introduce a muzzle gradually and use appropriate supervision.

A muzzle is not a substitute for responsible supervision, veterinary care, behavioral assessment, or professional training.

No muzzle should be considered completely bite-proof, escape-proof, or suitable for every dog or situation unless that representation is expressly supported for the specific product.

11. Supervision

Supervise the animal when appropriate for the product, activity, environment, and animal's behavior.

Do not allow an animal to chew, ingest, or become entangled in a product.

Unless a product is expressly designed and identified for unattended use, do not leave the product on an unattended animal for an extended period.

12. Wear, Damage and Maintenance

Pet products experience normal wear and may weaken over time.

Inspect products regularly and before activities that place additional stress on straps, fasteners, or hardware.

Replace a product when it shows signs of:

  • Fraying;
  • Cracking;
  • Tearing;
  • Loose stitching;
  • Corrosion;
  • Deformation;
  • Chewing damage;
  • Weak or unreliable closures; or
  • Other material deterioration.

Follow the cleaning and care information provided on the product page, label, or packaging.

Incorrect washing, drying, chemical exposure, storage, or modification may damage a product or reduce its useful life.

13. No Indestructibility or Escape-Proof Guarantee

Unless a product page expressly states otherwise with appropriate support, Vancetic does not represent that a product is:

  • Indestructible;
  • Chew-proof;
  • Escape-proof;
  • Bite-proof;
  • Suitable for every animal;
  • Suitable for every activity; or
  • Capable of preventing every accident or injury.

Product performance depends on correct sizing, fitting, maintenance, supervision, animal behavior, environmental conditions, and appropriate use.

14. Product Modifications

Cutting, sewing, heating, bending, drilling, attaching unauthorized components, or otherwise modifying a product may affect its fit, strength, safety, and return eligibility.

Vancetic is not responsible for damage caused by unauthorized modification, misuse, or use contrary to product instructions, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Outdoor and Environmental Use

Weather, water, salt, sand, mud, chemicals, heat, cold, and sunlight may affect product materials or hardware.

Clean, dry, and inspect the product after exposure where appropriate.

Do not leave an animal in unsafe temperatures or conditions because it is wearing a Vancetic product.

16. Returns Related to Sizing

Selecting an incorrect size, color, style, set, or variant is normally treated as a customer-responsibility return.

Return eligibility and conditions are explained in our Return and Refund Policy.

Customers should not permit an animal to soil, chew, scratch, damage, or extensively wear a product when they intend to return it.

17. Damaged or Defective Products

If a product arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or materially different from the item ordered, contact Vancetic as soon as possible.

Provide:

  • The order number;
  • A description of the issue;
  • Clear photographs of the product;
  • Photographs of the packaging when relevant; and
  • Photographs of the shipping label when relevant.

Do not continue using a product that might be unsafe or defective.

18. Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vancetic is not responsible for injury or damage caused by incorrect sizing, improper fitting, lack of supervision, unauthorized modification, failure to inspect, continued use of a damaged product, or use contrary to applicable instructions.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
